Abstract submission

The 2019 International Precision Dairy Farming Conference Planning Committee invites researchers and industry representatives to submit papers to be presented at this Conference. The conference will be held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minnesota, USA June 18 to 19, 2019 with an optional farm tour June 20.

Abstract submission deadline: February 1st, 2019.

  • Robotic milking
  • Parlor automation
  • Automated calf feeding
  • Activity monitoring
  • Precision technologies to monitor animal health and productivity
  • In-line and on-line milk sensors
  • Automation and quality control of on-farm milk handling and storage
  • Automation technologies for feeding the dairy herd and quality control of the ration and feed inventory
  • Adoption, economics, data analysis and other implications of precision technologies

Manuscripts for the 2019 Precision Dairy Conference are a maximum of TWO pages in length, including tables, figures, images, and references. Do NOT change the font size, margins, or font spacing to make the text fit on two pages.

The intent of the 2019 Precision Dairy Conference is to provide quality sessions focused on educational content, which is free from commercial influence or bias. Manuscripts and posters are not to be used as platforms for commercial sales, promotions and/or advertising.

When submitting your manuscript you will be asked to identify you presentation preference (i.e. Poster or oral presentation). The program committee will select your presentation method and inform the manuscript contact person by email in March 2019.

Instructions for submitting your abstract:

If you do not have an account in CATALYST, follow these instructions below.

Click on the link to create a submission. https://catalyst.omnipress.com/#collection/434/submission

  1. Click on the Create New Account tab to register an account.
  2. Enter your email address, password and confirm password. Click the Sign up
    1. CATALYST will be send you a “Confirm your account” email.
  3. Click on the turquoise button in your email labeled, “Confirm Account.”
  4. A pop-up will appear stating, “Thank you for confirming your email.”
  5. Click on the “Please click here to login.”
  6. Once logged in, a turquoise box will pop up at the top of your screen indicating you have created a submission. You will be in edit mode of that submission.
  7. Complete all the required fields on all the tabs.
  8. Click “Save,” on the bottom right of your screen as necessary. *If required fields are missing data, you will see the missing data tabs indicated with a red triangle.
  9. Click “Submit” on the bottom right of your screen when you are ready to submit your abstract.
  10. If you wish to create another submission, please click “SUBMISSIONS” in the left navigation and then click “+ Create Submission” under the event/collection listed on that page.
